Always start with a hypothesis

A hypothesis as an educated guess. Whether it's new initiatives in product, marketing, growth or even sales I like to start with an educated guess. This helps you actually think about the outcome that you are aiming for before you even get started doing the work towards your goal. Even the process of formulating your hypothesis tends to lead to discovering what you don't know that you need to know.
